Collections Team Lead

As a Collections team lead you will provide day-today work to the group, conducts workload study, plans activities, sets direction, and provides supervision to and evaluation of direct reports. Plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the collections department, ensuring efficient and effective debt recovery processes. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of collections specialists, developing, and implementing collection strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, Prepares, coordinates, and supervises the daily and Supervises the daily activities of the Desk Collectors
- Assist Desk Collectors or recommend collection techniques for difficult situations
- Provide the necessary coaching to direct reports
- Generate Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports related to performance updates and KPIs
- Escalate the necessary items to the management
- Process reversals when necessary
- Ensure resolution of customer issues raised through the Collection Department
- Attain the set targets
- Adhere to the Central Bank and the Company’s policies
- Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, accounting or a related field.
- With at least, one (1) year of previous collections collections team leader experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency regarding Client and Company collection systems and processes which measurably exceeds minimal requirements
- High degree of drive and determination to achieve or exceed set goals
