Bills Payment

Can I do bills payment using my Tonik App?

Yes, luv! Right now we're on BETA, but the feature is available with selected billers. We are partnered with CIS Bayad Center Inc., a pioneer and leader in the Outsourced Payment Industry. They help us provide you with a wide range of billers to help you settle your payments right in your Tonik App! XOXO

How can I pay my bills using the App?

It's super easy, luv! Here's how to get started with a new Bill:

  1. Select 'Pay' on your Tonik App Dashboard > click 'Start a Bill.'
  2. Select from our biller list or type your biller's name in the search box.
  3. Name your biller then enter your biller's reference number and select your due date. Here's a hint: Toggle on ''Remind me to pay in 3 days'' to get reminded 3 days prior to your next payment!
  4. Enter the amount to be paid and click 'Pay Now.'
  5. Check all the details, luv! If all good, click 'Confirm.'
  6. Enter the OTP you will receive at your Tonik-registered number, and voila! You should be directed to the processing page.

Here's how to get started with a saved bill:

  1. Select 'Pay' on your Tonik App Dashboard > click 'Start a Bill.'
  2. Select your saved bill and click 'Pay.'
  3. Make sure to check all the details, luv! If all good, click 'Confirm.'
  4. Enter your OTP and voila! You should be directed to the processing page to confirm your payment.

Please expect payment posting within 48 hours. An email will be sent to your Tonik-registered email address once complete. XOXO

I don't want to key in my bill reference every time I pay. Can I save it?

Yes, luv! You can save your bill reference. Here’s how:

  1. Select 'Pay' on your Tonik App Dashboard > click 'Start a Bill.'
  2. Select from our biller list or type your biller's name in the search box.
  3. Name your biller then enter your biller's reference number and select your due date.

Here's a hint: Toggle on 'Remind me to pay in 3 days' to get reminded 3 days prior to your next payment!

My schedule is crazy! Can I be reminded of my bill due date so I can avoid overdue payments?

Yes, luv! You can save your bill reference. Here’s how:

Can I pay my family and friends’ bill also?

Yes you can, luv! XOXO

Is there a transaction limit to paying a bill?

No, luv! As long as the amount you're paying is within the limit of the funds in your Tonik Account (that's the Account earning 1% interest p.a. on your Dashboard). Also, it's best to check with your biller prior to paying more than your amount due as some billers may not accept this. XOXO

Can I pay more than the bill amount due?

Hi there, luv! Some billers accept overpayment while some do not. You can see billers with overpayment requirements here. XOXO

I want to pay bills in advance and make partial payments, are these possible?

Hi there, luv! Advance or partial payments can help you manage your bills but that would still depend on the biller’s requirements. Here’s a quick guide of billers who accept exact and overpayment. XOXO

What if I provided incorrect bill details, what happens to my payment?

Don't worry, luv! Your payment won't push through since we validate bill payment details per biller. You should see an error message and the funds in your Tonik Account will not be debited. Remember hun, it's always best to double-check your payment details prior to confirming your payment! XOXO

How can I make sure that my bill was paid successfully?

Hi there, luv! You should see a successful bill payment message on your screen. Your amount due will also be debited from your Tonik Account. Here's a tip: Always check your balance to be super sure, hun! XOXO

Can I get a receipt as proof of my bill payment?

Of course, luv! Apart from the successful bill payment message on your screen, you will also receive an SMS and e-mail confirming your payment and a notification on your Tonik App. Just make sure that your notification settings are enabled on your device's settings! XOXO

Oh no! I paid the wrong bill, can I have it reversed?

Hi there, luv! Don't worry, you can request for payment reversal from our Customer Care team. Please know that this will be still subject to the billers' approval through Bayad Center, so this may take 10 working days. Super appreciate your patience, hun! XOXO

I forgot that today is my due date, is it considered a late payment if I pay today?

No, luv! Payment made today will not be considered a late payment. We highly suggest you turn on your biller's payment reminder option to avoid paying your bills late. XOXO

I've been so busy that I missed my bill due date, will I incur a late payment fee?

Hi there, luv! Tonik will not impose any late payment fees, but your biller might. It would be best if you reach out to your biller directly to verify the 
terms of their late payment charges, if any. XOXO

Who do I contact for issues with my bills payment?

Pay Button

What is the Pay Button? 

Hi there, luv! The Pay Button is the Tonik App’s newest feature that allows borrowers to pay for their monthly installment amount due immediately.   

All payments made even before the due date will be accepted and will be subsequently posted to your loan account on your chosen installment date. Awesome right? XOXO 

Can I pay any type of Tonik Loan using the Pay Button? 

Yes, luv! You can pay for your Quick Loan, Flex Loan, Flex Up Loan, Reloan, Shop Installment Loan, or Big Loan using the Pay Button. Hope this helps! XOXO 

When will my loan payment be credited if I pay through the Loan Button? 

If you paid before your due date, the amount paid via channels (except for PESONet and InstaPay)  will be held and reserved for the sole purpose of loan repayment. The reserved payment will earn 1% interest until it’s applied and posted to your loan on your due date, as early as 12 midnight.  

For payments made on the due date, these will be automatically posted to the loan as soon as it’s authenticated. Hope this helps! XOXO 

I want to use a specific channel to pay for my loan. Why can’t I see it in the list of channels when I click on the Pay Button?

Hi there, luv! Our payment channels have varying transaction limits. Your chosen channel might be grayed out if it has a set transaction limit less than your monthly installment amount.  

If you wish to use a specific channel that’s grayed out, you can break your payments then top up these amounts to your Tonik Account. Super thanks for understanding, luv! XOXO 

Why can’t I edit the payment amount in the payment channel I chose to use? 

Hi there, luv! We are accepting only full monthly payments through the Pay Button as of this moment. Please stay tuned as we work on accepting more payment types in the future. Super thanks for understanding, luv! XOXO 

Will the payment I made through the Pay Button be credited to my loan account immediately? 

Hi there, luv!

If you paid before your due date, it will automatically be credited to your loan account.

If you paid before your due date, via any payment channel aside from PESONet or InstaPay, your payment will be reserved and held until your chosen installment date. This means that your payment will earn the same 1% interest rate as that of keeping the money in your Tonik Savings Account, but it will be automatically posted and applied to your loan on the due date, as early as 12 midnight.   

That’s hassle-free, interest-earning, loan payments for you, luv! XOXO

Can I make partial payments through the Pay Button? 

Hi there, luv! You can only pay for full monthly payments through the Pay Button as of now. Please stay tuned as we work on accepting more payment types in the future. Super thanks for understanding, luv! XOXO 

Is it true that my early payments will earn interest? 

Yes, luv! Loan payments made before the due date will earn 1% interest. XOXO

Where will the interest earned from my early loan payments be credited? 

Hi there, luv! Interest earned from early loan payments will be credited to your Tonik Account every end of each month. You can also check your monthly Statement of Account or your Tonik App’s Transaction History if you wish to see your interest earnings. Hope this helps! XOXO 

Can I still pay my monthly installment through the Pay Button on my due date?

Yes, you can! Your payment will be posted immediately. Hope this helps! XOXO 

Can I still pay my monthly installment through the Pay Button after my due date? 

Yes, luv! We will still accept late payments made through the Pay Button. Your payment will be immediately posted and applied to your loan as soon as it has been authenticated.   

However, please take note that you may be charged with a late payment fee if you missed your due date. Super thanks for understanding, luv! XOXO 

I suddenly need the funds I used to pay for my loan. Can I still cancel the loan payment I made through the Pay Button?

Hi there, luv! As soon as your loan payment has been authenticated, its sole purpose is to be posted and applied to your loan on your chosen installment date.   

Think of it as one less worry for you, since it will be automatically applied to your loan without you needing to access your Tonik Account anymore. The reserved payment will also earn 1% interest, which will be credited to your Tonik Account every end of each month. Super thanks for understanding, luv! XOXO 

Can I still pay for my loan by topping up my Tonik Account? 

Yes, luv! You can still pay for your loan by topping up your Tonik Account through your chosen cash-in channel. Top Up and transfer fees from your (ex)bank to your Tonik Account may apply. Hope this helps! XOXO 

Why can’t I see the Pay Button in the Tonik App dashboard? 

Hi there, luv! You will see the Pay Button in your Tonik App dashboard only if you have an active loan with Tonik.   

If your loan just got approved, you will first see the Pay Button seven days before your first due date.

You will also not see the Pay Button if you’ve already made an early payment. It will be available again after your due date.

OTC Loan Repayment

Why can’t I directly pay my monthly loan amount due via your OTC channels?

Hey, luv! We’re currently working on a better loan payment experience for you. In the meantime, you can top up your Tonik Account via OTC and click “Pay Now” in the app. Your payment will automatically get posted to your loan account on your due date.

Do I have to wait for my due date before my OTC top up gets posted to my loan account?​

Hey, luv! If you click on “Pay Now” and pay thru your Tonik Account before your due date, you will get a notification that Tonik has received your payment. It will automatically get posted to your loan account on your due date. On the other hand, if you clicked “Pay Now” on your due date, your payment will be immediately credited to you loan account. What should I do if my OTC top-up is not reflected in my Tonik Account yet?

Please contact us through the chat feature in the Tonik App or contact our Customer Care hotline at  +63 2 5322 2645 if the top up amount has not been credited to your Tonik Account after two hours. We will confirm the status of your transaction with our payments provider, Xendit.

What documentary proof can I submit to help Tonik resolve my concern?

Hey, luv! You can submit the transaction receipt provided by the OTC branch through the chat feature in the Tonik App or contact our Customer Care hotline at  +63 2 5322 2645. We will confirm the status of your cash in transaction with our payments provider, Xendit. XOXO​

Can I link my GCash account to pay my loans?
