Can I re-avail a Credit Builder?

How does Credit Builder repayment work on the due date?

Hi there, luv! 

We'll automatically deduct your monthly Credit Builder repayment from your Tonik Account on your due date. And don't worry, we'll shoot you an SMS to let you know if it went through smoothly or if there were any hiccups along the way. 

Make sure to Top up your Tonik Account from the following channels in the App before the due date ends to avoid late fee charges: 

  • Local Bank Debit Card (Minimum amount PHP 500)
  • PESONet (Posting of payment will be next banking day; Minimum transfer amount and cut-offs depend on your (ex)bank)
  • InstaPay (Minimum transfer amount and cut-offs depend on your (ex)bank)
  • Link your GCash account to pay your loan here.

Can I do advanced partial payments to my Credit Builder?

Partial repayment isn't available right now, but if you would like to repay your Credit Builder Loan early and in full, you may use the self-service early full settlement feature through the app's Loans Dashboard or even contact our Customer Care team through in-app chat for assistance. XOXO

Can I pre-terminate my Credit Builder? (Early full settlement)

Good question, luv! There are two ways you can pre-terminate your Credit Builder: 

1. You can settle your Credit Builder on your own in full by going to your Loans Dashboard and tapping on the "I want to close the loan" button. 

Take note that you'll need to have enough balance to pay it off in full. If not, we'll ask you to top-up your Tonik Account first. 

2. You can always advise our Customer Care hotline at +63253222645 and we will notify you of the amount to be paid to close your existing Loan.

Can I fully pay the loaned Credit Builder amount within two weeks from the cash disbursement? How much shall I pay?

Hi there, luv! Yes, you can settle in full through our self-service early full settlement feature through the app's Loans Dashboard or just advise our Customer Care hotline at +63253222645, and we will notify you of the outstanding amount you have to pay to settle your existing Credit Builder Loan. XOXO

I changed my mind halfway through my Credit Builder application! Can I reset everything?

Yes you can, luv! Feel free to cancel your Credit Builder application by clicking on the door icon at the top right corner of your screen. Heads up, this will erase all the information you've previously entered and you can only do this before you get to the Terms and Conditions screen.

Don't worry if you've already passed the Terms and Conditions screen or if you've already been approved! Just wait for a few weeks and we'll automatically reset everything for you. XOXO

Can I re-avail a Credit Builder if I repay my previous loan early?

Good question, luv! Early or full settlement of your Credit Builder won't guarantee approval of your re-application. It would still depend on our analysis of your information and the payment history of your previous loan with us. If satisfactory, you can apply for another loan a day after fully paying off your previous one. Thanks for understanding, luv! XOXO

How do I get the loan?

Hi there, luv! You’ll receive an update on your approval via the Tonik App, then you’ll be asked to sign a few documents. Afterwards, you can head to the cashier and send a request for the Confirmation Code. It’s easy, you just have to click a button on the app!


Once you've paid the down payment, the cashier will then share this Confirmation Code with you so you can enter it into your app. Once that’s done, the cashier will receive a second SMS notifying them that the loan has been disbursed, and that you can now take home your item/s. From this SMS, you can also get your loan agreement number.

First, we do not charge the processing fee  (7% of the Financed Amount) upfront. The equivalent amount will be divided equally to your monthly installments.​ Second, check if you availed of our VAS PayHinga service since this is added to your EMI as well. (9.11% of the EMI)
