Will I get my funds back if Tonik Bank is unable to process or rejected my fund transfer?

Give it 2 to 3 business days for your source bank to process your refund.

Butterfingers! What if I entered a valid Tonik account number that belongs to someone else?

All PESONet transactions are considered final and can no longer be cancelled if a valid Tonik account number other than the recipient’s was provided.

If it happens to you, immediately report it to any of our Customer Care channels.

There is no guarantee of recovering the funds, but we will exert utmost diligence and effort to recoup the transfer amount.

What is the batting average of transferring to my Tonik account via PESONet?

  1. You entered an invalid Tonik account number.
  2.

Make sure it is the 14-digit account number found in your profile. To avoid encoding errors, just copy the account number by clicking on the icon beside it.

You cannot transfer to closed, dormant, or blocked Tonik accounts via PESONet as well.

  3. You keyed in account information that does not match any active Tonik account.
  4.

  5. Remember, no pet names allowed! Yes, it includes ‘luv’.
  6.

  7. The account’s currency is anything but Peso
  8.

PESONet is available only for fund transfers between Philippine Peso accounts of participating banks and electronic money issuers in the country.

  9. The transaction is suspicious based on Anti-Money Laundering criteria.

  • We’ll gladly return your money back to your (ex)bank.
  • Non-time sensitive is just a more polite way of saying ‘it’s not real-time’. How long will I have to wait for my fund transfer to get credited to my Tonik account?

PESONet processes fund transfers in batches. Most participant banks and e-wallets implement a cut-off time between 12PM to 4PM for same-day crediting. It is still best to check with your (ex)bank what their cut-off time is before doing a fund transfer via PESONet.

If you were able to transfer funds within your (ex)bank's cut-off, the transferred amount will be credited to your Tonik Account after 6:30PM of the same day.

Will it just be my 14-digit Tonik account number I have to memorize to process a PESONet fund transfer?

To process fund transfers, source banks would require your Tonik Account details.

You may find these in the Account Information section of your Tonik App. To reduce encoding errors, just click on the copy icon beside your account details (yes, it is the two overlapping squares on the right!) and paste it directly to your (ex)bank’s mobile or web app.

Make sure it’s your 14-digit account number you’re copying and not your Tonik virtual or physical card number. Consistent with our 6% interest offering, Tonik account numbers also start with a 6!

How much can I transfer to my Tonik account via PESONet?

It will depend on the limits set by your issuing bank. You may contact your bank to ask about their daily transfer limits.

Take note of both the per transaction limit and daily transaction limit. Some banks have set a minimum transfer amount as well.

Will I get charged for transferring to my Tonik account via PESONet?

Fund transfer fees vary from bank to bank. Please check with your issuing bank if they charge a fee for PESONet fund transfers.

Tonik will not charge additional fees for receiving transfers via PESONet. XOXO
